Joy Helwig, PA-C

Joy Helwig is a Physician Assistant working with Dr. John E. Mullen, Dr. Edmund A. Ganal, and Dr. Robert Yaghoubian in the New Milford and Sharon offices. She also assists OrthoConnecticut physicians in surgery.

Before returning to school to earn her PA-C, Joy worked as a sports medicine assistant in Ohio and a medical assistant in Connecticut. Helping others is a core value of Joy’s who has spent over 300 hours as a medical volunteer in Ecuador, Mexico, COVID vaccination clinics, and other volunteer outreach opportunities.

Joy earned her PA-C at Sacred Heart University’s Sacred Heart College of Health Professions in Connecticut. Prior to that she received a BS in Biology at the Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio in 2016.

Joy has studied Medical Spanish.
