The many benefits of this innovative cast include no longer having to deal with a cast that is itchy, smelly, or uncomfortable, and does not need to be cut off with a saw (unlike traditional casting). As if being waterproof wasn’t enough of an advantage the fact that physicians no longer need a saw is a big plus for children (and adults) who can be apprehensive of the saw.
What’s more is that Cast21 can be applied in as short a time as 3-minutes. It molds quickly and cures fast so our patients have a shorter, easier visit. The waterproof and breathable nature of the lattice structure also helps prevent infections and skin complications.
